Precision builds clarity.Kindness builds trust.Together, they build worlds.

New York Queer Zine Fair 2025 IdentityGraphix, Alphabet DesignPublished: July 2025I created this identity in the summer of 2025 while I was exploring the idea of inking my comic Hexas. One day, I accidentally spilled ink that formed the shapes of an N, Y, and Q. I took it as a sign, and from there I spent a week hand-drawing an entire alphabet and visual identity for the New York Queer Zine Fair.


The fair has been a vital part of my growth as an artist and designer in New York City, so offering this identity to the founders felt like a way to give back. They embraced it, and I’m honored that it is now being used.


My goal was to reflect the diverse identities represented at the fair—something that felt distinctly queer, but also unified in the way that all New Yorkers are. Each letter was designed as its own character with a story to tell: some goofy and superheroic, others dancing with staccato terminals or clef-like extrusions, full of flair and honesty. The result is imperfect, yet flavorful—official in tone, but unconcerned with fitting in. 

Synopsis:&#38;nbsp;
Hexas introduces a young witch on a mission to hypnotize a rising authoritarian leader into resigning, guided by a secretive magical council. Set in a shadow-realm brimming with techno-pagan rituals, liquid portals, and slippery seductions, this graphic series blends mysticism and resistance into a surreal coming-of-age story. Hexas finds counsel in his lovingly haunting mentor, an enigmatic old woman trapped inside a mirror at the Met Museum, offering cryptic guidance as he confronts political power and personal longing. As he hones his powers, he learns to teleport through water and meets Icky and Ambe, two enchanted, tender souls who help keep him grounded between spells. While dancing Hexas falls for a mysterious man who might be a snake—or something far stranger—forcing him to question trust, desire, and destiny. Speaking to a generation raised on digital chaos, magical realism, and emotional rebellion, Hexas is the first in a series that peels back layers of power, identity, and transformation.

Set in a richly textured, patterned, graphic grayscale world Hexas navigates both political uprising and personal awakening. micronimbus is a small zine of my macro microscopic anatomical paintings and is in sync with my écorché paintings. When I started this series I was spending the daytime doing my écorchés . Then, at night, to release from the detailed meticulousness that my daytime paintings required, I would freestyle doing gestural paintings that turned into these. I wanted them to feel like textbook illustrations of microscopic cellular views of illuminated or enchanted queer bodies. &#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;

Thr0mb0 Y is a follow-up publication to&#38;nbsp;Thr0mb0 X released in 2018. It is&#38;nbsp;a&#38;nbsp;letter of process and nod to all the New York queer artists and publications that inspired me from a young age that presented queer life as they lived it. This narrative hopes to grow by documenting the influence of technology, monster movies, painting, choreographies, globalization, corporate branding, medical spaces, failures, COVID,&#38;nbsp; and surveillance through the hybrid experience of living as a queer artist in the past 6 years. It features process, commentary, and documentation of my paintings, collages, photography, 2D/3D illustrations, excerpts from sketchbooks/memoirs, documentations of sonic, performance, and graphic work. The work as a whole hopes to present an uncensored version of my queer life, via narratives of love/pain, words unsaid, work unseen, and internal dialogues between various versions of myself.
